Sher Mehta, Chief Economist and Econometrician, Virtuoso Economics, founded the firm in 2014.
He is a macroeconomist, industry and financial market analyst, and time series econometrician. He has analyzed the economic performance and outlook of 22 major economies (developed and emerging) and 13 sectors.
Sher worked in London in both public and private sectors between 2003-2013 before relocating to New Delhi, India. He is also a consultant to globally renowned economic and industry research firms. His economic forecasts of the US, the UK, and Chinese economies are sent to Bloomberg Economic Surveys, while that of the Indian economy are sent to Reuters Polls.
His views have been published in several leading publications including THE BANKER (Financial Times), CNN Business, U.S. News, Reuters, EUROMONEY, The Economic Times, BUSINESSWORLD, The Asian Age, and the Wall Street Reporter. Sher has also authored a book for professionals worldwide - 'First Step in Understanding and Interpreting Key Economic Indicators'.
He has pursued his Masters in Business and Economic Forecasting from Kingston University, London, as well as post graduate studies in Applied Economics (Macroeconomic Policy) from the University of Antwerp, Belgium.
